The mercury may be falling, but the heat is definitely rising on the Canadian food scene, thanks to Thai Kitchen. To honor the Chinese New Year, fusion is being taken to the next level by the #TKLucky- 7, an esteemed group of Celebrity Food Bloggers, battling it out to be Canada’s next Thai Kitchen Canada’s Ambassador, through their global food mashups.
With the Thai Kitchen pantry at their disposal these foodies are putting their culinary prowess to the test and going head-to-head in a seven day contest of savoury proportion. From East to West, these food enthusiasts will be putting their knives and know-how to the test by creating a new dish each day then live tweeting and posting their recipes on Instagram (January 6th to 12th). Upon completion of the daily recipe challenge, the #TKLucky- 7 contestants engage their social media audiences in the process by asking them to cast their votes on a winning dish (from January 13th through January 26th) in return for the opportunity to scoop up some delectable prizes. The Fan Vote prizes include $100 Amazon.ca gift cards and Moulinex Food Processors (valued at $150).
The scrumptious showdown culminates on Chinese New Year, January 31st when the group of seven have their winning dish entered into a nationwide competition. The Canadian public casts the final vote on the most palate pleasing course made all the more tempting by yet another opportunity for fabulous prizing. In this final stage of combat the rewards include a $1500 Air Canada Gift Card, a $1000 Apple Gift Card and Jamie Oliver Professional Series cookware set. Canada Votes, runs from January 31st to February 28th. Celebrity Food Bloggers Kelly Neil, Jason Lee, Don Chow, Melissa Ramos, Stacey Martin, Jo-Anna Rooney and Elizabeth Nyland will await their food fate on March 24th when the final winner is announced and bestowed with the honor of being named Thai Kitchen Canada’s brand ambassador.
